    Installing ScreenKite

    Download

    ScreenKite is a native macOS app. Download the latest version from screenkite.com/download. Check that your Mac meets the System Requirements.

    Install

    1. Open the downloaded file.
    2. Drag ScreenKite into your Applications folder.
    3. Open ScreenKite from Applications.

    First Launch

    On first launch, ScreenKite shows a welcome screen. Then it asks for macOS permissions:

    • Required: Accessibility and Screen Recording.
    • Optional: Microphone and Camera. You can turn them on later.

    Menu Bar and Dock

    ScreenKite always shows an icon in the menu bar. To hide the Dock icon:

    1. Open Settings → General.
    2. Turn off Show in Dock.

    ScreenKite then runs from the menu bar only.

    Updates

    ScreenKite updates itself. Updates download automatically and install when you restart the app. You can see the settings in Settings → General → Software Update:

    • Update Channel: choose Stable or Beta. Beta gives you new features earlier.
    • Check for Updates: checks for a new version now.
