    Editor Settings

    Editor Settings

ScreenKite's editor settings let you tune how the project editor looks and feels while you work. Open them from the menu bar: ScreenKite → Settings → Editor.

    Editor Interaction

The Editor Interaction section controls how the timeline and inspector controls behave.

    ToggleDefaultWhat it does
Enable multi-frame previewsOffDisplays a filmstrip of video frames on timeline clips. Uses more memory and may impact performance.
Enable slider haptic feedbackOnVibrates supported trackpads when dragging editor inspector sliders.
    💡

Slider haptic feedback requires a Force Touch trackpad. The toggle has no effect on mice or non-Force-Touch trackpads.

    ✅

Multi-frame previews give the timeline richer visual context but draw additional memory and GPU resources. Leave them off for longer projects or when working on a lower-powered Mac, and turn them on when you need frame-level precision.

    PilotCut: Editor Tab

PilotCut exposes the same Enable slider haptic feedback toggle under PilotCut → Settings → Editor (the tab with the sliders icon).

The toggle works identically — haptic pulses fire on the Force Touch trackpad as you drag any inspector slider across a stepped value.
