    Guide/Recording

    Continue Recording

Continue Recording lets you append a fresh recording take into a project you already have open. Instead of creating a new recording and manually importing it, the new footage lands on the same timeline and is ready to edit alongside your earlier takes.

    How to Continue Recording

    1. Open an existing project in the Project Editor.
    2. Choose Continue Recording from the File menu or the Recording Hub.
    3. ScreenKite starts a new recording session using the same source settings as the original.
    4. When you stop the recording, the new footage is added to the timeline after your existing clips.
    ✅

Continue Recording is ideal for tutorials where you realize you missed a step, or for product demos where you want to capture one more workflow without re-recording the entire video.

    What Gets Preserved

    • Your existing timeline edits (cuts, trims, overlays, zoom effects) remain untouched
    • The new recording appears as additional clips on the same tracks
    • Project settings (background, device frame, export format) carry over
