Why macOS 14.2?
ScreenKite uses Apple's latest screen capture and video technologies that require macOS 14.2 (Sonoma) as the minimum version.
macOS Version Feature Gates
Some features require newer macOS versions. ScreenKite detects your OS version and enables features accordingly:

Apple Silicon and Intel Feature Support
Screen recording, editing, and export work on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. On-device WhisperKit transcription requires Apple Silicon. On Intel Macs, configure ElevenLabs under Settings -> Transcription for word-level captions and transcript-based editing.
