ScreenKite records the cursor and your key presses separately from the screen video. You can change how they look after you record.

    Cursor

Click the Cursor tab in the inspector.

    Cursor style and size

    Style and size

    SettingWhat it does
Show CursorShows or hides the cursor in the video.
    StyleChooses the cursor art.
TypeAuto uses the recorded pointer shape. Fixed uses one shape all the time, such as Arrow, Text or Hand.
SizeMakes the cursor larger or smaller.
ColorTints the built-in cursor. Cursor packs keep their own colors.

    Motion

    SettingWhat it does
SmoothingMakes cursor movement smooth. On for new projects. Stiffness, Damping and Mass change how it moves.
TiltTilts the cursor in the direction of movement. Set Amount and Base Angle.

The Timeline section has End Motion (None, Loop or Freeze) and Shake Filter with a Threshold. The shake filter removes small, unwanted movement.

    Clicks

    • Click Effect: Zoom makes the cursor pulse on each click. Duration sets how long the pulse lasts.
    • Click Highlight: draws a ripple from each click. Choose a Shape (Ring, Filled or Water Drop), a Highlight Color or Match Cursor, then set Spread and Fade. Off by default.
    • Click Sound: turn on Click Sounds, then choose a Sound Set and a Click Volume.

    Visibility

    • Hide Idle: fades out the cursor when it does not move. Delay sets the wait time.
    • Hide Typing: hides the cursor while you type.

    Keystrokes

ScreenKite can show the keys you pressed as an overlay on the video.

    1. Click the Keystrokes tab in the inspector.
    2. Make sure Show Keyboard Shortcuts is on.
