    Editor Settings

    Configure editor interaction preferences like timeline preview strips and slider haptic feedback.

    Editor preferences are in two Settings pages: Editor and Appearance. Open them from the menu bar: ScreenKite → Settings.

    New Project DefaultsReset New Project DefaultsClears the saved canvas size, background and camera overlay for new projects. Existing projects do not change.
    Editor TourShow editor tourOffOffers a short tour of the editor window. When on, Help → Show Editor Tour is available.

    The two New recordings start with settings apply only when a project is created. After that, each project keeps its own value.

    AI Agent Editing

    The AI Agent Editing section is also on the Editor page. It shows:

    • Workspace: the folder that AI agents use. Click Change… to choose a different folder, or Reset to Default.
    • Status and CLI Status: whether the workspace and the screenkite command line tool are ready.
    • Actions: buttons such as Reveal in Finder.

    FeelUse frosted glass AI panel backgroundGives the AI chat panel a translucent background. Off keeps a solid background.
    TimelineShow filmstrips on video clipsShows video frames on timeline clips. On uses taller video lanes. Off keeps the compact clip height.
    💡

    Slider haptic feedback needs a Force Touch trackpad. It has no effect with a mouse.

    PilotCut

    PilotCut has the same Enable slider haptic feedback and Use frosted glass AI panel background toggles in PilotCut → Settings → Appearance.
