Does Discord save a recording on your Mac?
No. Discord's Go Live and Screen Share help (updated June 19, 2026) covers sharing a window or the whole screen into a voice channel or a DM. The page is about the live stream. It does not describe a file that lands on disk when the call ends.
The macOS screen-share article walks through picking a screen, a window or an app, then setting quality. That is still a live share. If you want a clip you can edit later, record the Discord window yourself.
