Atlassian announced it at Team '26 Europe on October 7, 2026: "Record for Agent, now in open beta, turns a quick Loom video into something an agent can act on." The support page explains the mechanics. Loom captures your transcript, keyframes, clicks, visited links and, in the Chrome extension, console and network logs. It then builds an "agent prompt" on the Loom share page that you send to an agent or turn into Jira work items.

The limits are on the same page:

• "This mode is available to all Loom users on Business + AI and Enterprise plans."
• The Jira flow is "exclusively available to users with Atlassian-managed accounts with an active Jira subscription."
• "Recordings are limited to a maximum of five minutes."
• "The camera is automatically turned off in Record for agent mode."

It turns the recording into a prompt or Jira work items. It does not edit your video.

Why are creators leaving Loom anyway?

The complaints we collected in Loom alternative: crashes and price did not go away with a beta:
