How to Merge Multiple Screen Studio Recordings into One Video

Take one nailed the intro. Take three nailed settings. Take five has the clean outro. Or Monday’s feature and Wednesday’s follow-up are separate .screenstudio projects, and marketing wants one launch clip.

Merging projects sounds basic. On the Screen Studio Hub it is still an ask: Ability to merge multiple projects, closely tied to import clips and multiple layers.

You do not need to export each project and concatenate somewhere else.

    Short answer

Import the Screen Studio projects into ScreenKite, then arrange the takes on one multi-track timeline.

Since ScreenKite 0.11, each .screenstudio import keeps zooms, cursor motion, and timing. Merge is then clip arrangement — the job a timeline already does.

    Do it in ScreenKite (numbered)

    1. Open ScreenKite.
    2. Choose File → Import Screen Studio project for the first .screenstudio file.
    3. Import the next project or media the same way (or use File → Import Media… for exported clips you already have).
    4. Arrange clips end-to-end on the timeline (overlap if you want a short transition).
    5. Trim the joins, normalize audio across days, add captions or title cards if needed.
    6. Export once. Pro removes the watermark.
    7. Share via your own Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive.

Also fine: mix Screen Studio + new ScreenKite takes

Record a new segment in ScreenKite, import the polished Screen Studio middle, and drop an intro bumper ahead of both. Same multi-clip timeline.

    💡

Name clips on the timeline (intro, billing, outro) so collaborators can find sections without scrubbing blind.

Why “one project = one recording” breaks

    • Best-of takes across three attempts
    • Course chapters recorded on different days
    • Intro + demo + CTA bookends
    • Browser flow in project A, desktop settings in project B
    • A teammate’s part-two project file

Screen Studio’s own label is screen recorder + lightweight editor (llms.txt). Excellent for one polished capture. Multi-take assembly is a multi-clip timeline job — which is why merge stays on the Hub.

    Why ScreenKite

ScreenKite is native macOS with a timeline you build, not a read-only window into a single capture. Import Screen Studio work, keep the mapped polish, finish the master in one place.

Ask the AI agent to tighten gaps between segments. Optional MCP / CLI hooks exist for external agents and are still evolving.

    Pricing contrast (product facts)

Screen Studio–class tools often land near $108/year subscription rent while merge still lives on a feedback board. ScreenKite is free to create and edit; Pro removes the watermark; Pro is a one-time / founder-lifetime purchase. One master timeline. One export. Your cloud for sharing.

Cross-platform & Roadmap: macOS is fully native; the Windows native Beta application is now available for download (powered by a dedicated Direct3D/C++23 engine), with a Chrome extension in development.

Creators and teams choose it because it pairs ultra-fast local hardware exports and built-in link sharing with timeline AI agent editing via Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, Antigravity, or Grok Build. Describe the cut; the agent does the trims.

    Tips for clean merges

    • Match resolution and frame rate when you can.
    • Leave handles on each take so joins have frames to work with.
    • Normalize loudness across recording days.
    • Use In/Out or range export when you need both a long cut and short clips from the same master (Hub still asks for range export in SS).

    Conclusion

Multiple takes are normal. Multiple projects should not strand you waiting on Hub merge. Import into ScreenKite, arrange on one timeline, export once, and ship the launch cut.
