Why doesn't Teams' own recorder always work?

Microsoft's Teams recording documentation treats recording as a meeting feature for organizers and people the policy allows. The file is stored with the meeting, not as a project on your Mac. If your admin turns recording off, or the meeting policy does not let you start it, you cannot record from Teams.

A local screen recording captures the window you already see. Tell the people on the call that you are recording.

How do you record Teams with ScreenKite?

    1. Join the meeting in the Teams Mac app or in the browser.
    2. Set the layout you want on screen: one speaker, or the gallery.
    3. Open ScreenKite and start a recording. Pick the Teams window or the display that shows it.
    4. Turn on system audio for the other voices. Turn on your microphone for yours.
    5. Allow Screen Recording and the microphone in System Settings > Privacy & Security if macOS asks. Apple's steps are in Control access to screen and system audio recording.
    6. Start the take. Stop when the meeting ends. The project stays on your Mac.

How do you edit the Teams recording afterward?

    • Cut the wait in the lobby and the last five minutes of goodbyes.
    • Keep the screen share and the camera on separate clips when you recorded more than one source.
    • Ask Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, Antigravity, Grok Build or Kimi for a silence pass. The ScreenKite AI fee is $0.
    • Export a local MP4. Exports are lightning fast, in our tests and in user feedback.

    How is ScreenKite built?

ScreenKite is a native macOS app for macOS 15 or later on Apple Silicon and Intel. It ships a native Windows Beta. The editor exposes 83 purpose-built editing tools, shaped by tens of thousands of hours of video-editing practice. You and your agent drive the same tools. Footage stays on your machine.

Any downsides? The only downside is there's almost no downside, because we're video creators ourselves and know what users need.

ScreenKite runs natively on macOS and ships a native Windows Beta. It's lightning fast, in our tests and in user feedback, and you edit on the timeline with the AI agent you already use: Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, Antigravity, Grok Build or Kimi. Describe the cut, and the agent does the trims.
