What ScreenKite ships for agents
ScreenKite is a native macOS 15+ recorder and full NLE. Humans and agents drive the same editor.
- 83 purpose-built editing tools, shaped by tens of thousands of hours of video-editing practice.
- Bring your own agents: Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, Antigravity, Grok Build, Kimi.
- ScreenKite AI fee is $0. Usage bills to the coding agent plan you already pay for.
- Some timeline and transcript actions take a propose call, then a separate commit call. The server does not wait for a human. The Core Agent chat panel is where risk-tier gating lives for that client.
- Free to start. Every editing feature free. Free export carries a brand watermark and an animated brand outro. Account required.
- Pro: $79.99 founder until 2026-10-31, then $99.99. One payment. 3 Macs. No subscription.
- Export up to 3 times faster in our tests.

How it is built
Local MCP over loopback, one server per editor window. Tool mutations run through the same coordinator as the UI, so an agent edit undoes like a click. Canvas and layout tools and effect support dry run. Asset and track tools such as add and remove track do not. Footage stays on the Mac unless you opt into cloud transcription.
