    What is Kimi?

Moonshot's Kimi Code page is where you install the Kimi coding agent. The getting started guide says Kimi Code CLI runs in your terminal: it reads a project, edits files and plans its next steps from feedback as it works.

ScreenKite treats Kimi like the other agents on the list. The project is a folder, and the agent uses the same 83 editing tools you click.

How do you edit a demo with Kimi?

    1. Record the take in ScreenKite, or open an existing project. The project lives in a folder on your disk.
    2. Turn on transcription in ScreenKite so the agent can cut from the words.
    3. Open Kimi in that project folder.
    4. Ask for a plan, not an immediate apply. A prompt that works:

Open this ScreenKite project. Cut false starts, filler words and dead air. Show me the cut list first. Do not change the timeline until I say yes.

    1. Read the list. Each line should name a range and a reason.
    2. Reply yes when the list looks right. Kimi applies the cuts. Each cut is an ordinary ScreenKite edit, so undo works on any one of them.
    3. Scrub the timeline and export a local MP4. Exports are lightning fast, in our tests and in user feedback.

Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, Antigravity and Grok Build use the same editor. The steps stay the same. Swap the agent.

How does ScreenKite with Kimi compare with Descript?

    What does the agent change?

    • False starts and repeated takes.
    • Filler words and long gaps.
    • Captions you asked it to place.

The cuts are ordinary edits on the ScreenKite timeline. You can undo them. The footage stays on your Mac.

    How is ScreenKite built?

ScreenKite is a native macOS app with a native Windows Beta. The editor gives you 83 purpose-built editing tools, shaped by tens of thousands of hours of video-editing practice. You click those tools. Kimi drives the same ones. Some edits that change meaning, such as a timeline cut or a silence pass, come back as a list first. A second step applies them.

Any downsides? The only downside is there's almost no downside, because we're video creators ourselves and know what users need.

ScreenKite runs natively on macOS and ships a native Windows Beta. It's lightning fast, in our tests and in user feedback, and you edit on the timeline with the AI agent you already use: Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, Antigravity, Grok Build or Kimi. Describe the cut, and the agent does the trims.
