Auto-Zoom Screen Recorders for Windows 11 in 2026: Who Makes You Subscribe, and Where ScreenKite Fits
ScreenKite ships a native Windows Beta next to its native Mac app, free to use with a watermark, then one payment. Screen Studio has no Windows app and no near-term plans for one. Here is what Rapidemo, FocuSee, Camtasia, OBS and ShareX ship on Windows 11.
Short answer: ScreenKite ships a native Windows Beta next to its native Mac app, and it is free to use with a watermark on exports, then one payment with no subscription. Screen Studio does not run on Windows and says it has no near-future plans to. On Windows 11, Rapidemo, FocuSee and Camtasia tie updates or the app itself to a renewal.

Is there a Screen Studio for Windows?
No. Screen Studio's own FAQ on screen.studio answers "Is the Windows version ready?" with: "No, and there are no near-future plans to add Windows support. Currently, Screen Studio only supports macOS." We compared the Screen Studio-style options in Screen Studio for Windows: best options.
What does each Windows recorder make you renew?
Rapidemo is a Windows 10 and 11 auto-zoom recorder. Its pricing page offers a subscription or a one-time payment described as "Use forever. One year of updates." and "One year of shareable links." Rapidemo's FAQ says you can keep using the app after that year, and a renewal buys another year of updates. It does not run on macOS today. macOS support is under evaluation.
FocuSee runs on Windows and Mac, but its own feedback board has users reporting that "the video track runs noticeably faster than the audio" on long recordings, with one writing on August 3, 2026: "Still no fix in v2.4." Its AI features consume credits, and used credits are deducted from refunds. Details in FocuSee alternatives.
Camtasia went annual subscription-only with Camtasia 2025. TechSmith says internet access is needed "once every 90 days to maintain product functionality," and if you stop paying, "you lose access to the software." The same FAQ says exported videos stay yours, and project files can still be opened, but exports then carry a watermark.
OBS Studio is "free and open source software for video recording and live streaming." ShareX is a free and open source capture tool for Windows. Both cost nothing to download. They are general capture tools.
Does ScreenKite run on Windows 11?
Yes. ScreenKite ships native macOS and a native Windows Beta, available to download now. On macOS, ScreenKite records the full screen, then applies auto-zoom from your cursor and clicks so the active area stays readable, with captions and 83 purpose-built editing tools your coding agent can drive.
